Antidote Bikes is unique in the way we decided to grow the company. Our expertise gives us advantage in three core fields. This allows us to bring exceptional solutions to the market, which is what sets Antidote bikes in a class of their own.
We begin the designing process with a sketch, which is consistent with the rest of our products and their aesthetic qualities. We treat our bikes like the small pieces of art that they are. We avoid compromises in the design, and strive to achieve a finished product that is equally fast and beautiful.
All companies have quality control, but to us quality is extra important as we view it as the main pillar of our work. Each person producing a single piece of the frame is a master of their work and passionate about it, too. The quality comes through in every aspect of our activity; every piece of the frame is made in-house.
We are proud of the structure of our carbon fibre weave. While many companies cover up the imperfections of their far east-made products with paint, we take pride in our perfect twill weave. We avoid using fully covering paintjobs, and encourage our customers to choose a raw finish or a 50/50 hybrid paint with the weave peeking through.
We only work with the strongest, high modulus fibres, used in the automotive industry. We use our own solution based on polymer reinforcement (vectran), adding durability to the finished product. We only use the 7020 aerospace-grade alloy for our aluminium parts.
Our suspension systems are very high performance, are renowned in the mountain biking community and well acclaimed. Antidote stays ahead of the curve by implementing pioneering technological solutions. We were ahead of the high pivot suspension trend with our NOSTER KINETICS platform, and by using a floating rear shock placement, putting it between two moving linkages.
We are aware that a single suspension design will not be the best fit for every bike, so we developed three separate platforms for our bikes and their riders’ needs:
FDS – maximum uphill efficiency and suspension performance for enduro bikes over 130 milimetres of suspension travel
NOSTER KINETICS – designed for race downhill bikes. Rearward wheel path and high ability to tackle the largest obstacles
Mini FDS – for trail bikes with fewer than 130 milimetres of travel. Maintains the efficiency of FDS, while using fewer design elements and lowers the platform weight
An essential part of the finished product is the paint scheme. We always encourage our customers to allow the carbon fibre weave peek through the paint, to appreciate the work going into laying the final fibre layer and preserving its pleasing aesthetics.
The added colours will highlight the character of the bike and give it the personal touch in line with the customer’s taste.
Our hallmark is designs that reference the automotive industry, especially historical race car liveries and legendary Formula 1 teams.
For us, it is extremely precious to have the customer with us all the way through their bike’s production process. Choosing the concept, preparing the colours, design visualization and finally their ability to see the frame being built in our workshop, all give the process a new dimension.
TO BE HONEST
The only elements we don’t produce ourselves are the titanium bolts and the cardboard packaging.
